The Library of Congress has a Flickr stream

January 31st, 2010 by Nate Hoffelder · No Comments · digitization projects

I cam across this while researching another story, and I thought worth a post. The Flickr stream I found has (at the moment) 465 scanned pages from newspapers gone into the public domain. These pages don’t have much text; that could be OCRed. These are scans of full page pictures and other pages that don’t translate well to digital form. You can find it here.

This Flickr stream is part of the Chronicling America project, which has the goal of digitizing USA newspapers.
