Simon & Schuster UK saw “double digit profit growth” in 2009, according to managing director Ian Chapman.
According to figures from Nielsen BookScan, the publisher’s sales grew 6.9% in 2009 to £27.2m. Market share grew from 1.4% to 1.6%. Chapman refused to strip out profits but said that total sales growth through all channels had increased by 8.3% year on year.
