I found another odd little MID out of China. The Dainuo T500 is a 5″ tablet running, of all things, WindowsXP. The basic model has an Intel Atom CPU, 32GB Flash, 1GB RAM, Bluetooth, Wifi, and weighs 420g. There is no word yet on price or availability, but I suspect that we won’t see it outside of China.
As an ebook reader, it should be able to run everything that will work on WinXP. But I don’t think you’d want to. The screen resolution is so much higher than the norm that this tablet will be difficult to use. It has a resolution of 1024×600, which gives it about 236 pixels per inch. The standard icons are going to be pretty darn small.
