So everyone was talking about the poll that was released yesterday. I found a good post about it here, and I’m not going to make the same obvious conclusions everyone else has. Instead, I’ll say this:
I don’t trust the data. The poll was conducted in the immediate aftermath of the announcement. There is a good chance some respondents were still caught up in the hype, and they might change their minds as time goes by. We won’t really know of the numbers are valid until after the initial release.

This is something I keep emphasizing, too: It’s not out yet! A lot of the proclamations we’re hearing about the iPad are just premature, a by-product of the hype. Let’s wait until the sucker’s actually available, and people are buying and trying it, before anyone starts claiming it will kill this, or replace that.
