Boy, is this a last minute announcement. Read an eBook Week starts today. From the press release:
KNFB Reading Technology, creator of the Blio eReader software, announced today its support for “Read an eBook Week”, an international literary cyber event to be held March 7-13, 2010 designed to raise the awareness of the benefits of eBooks for publishers and consumers. For the duration of the virtual event visitors to the “Read an eBook Week” website (ebookweek.com) will be able to download free publications from a variety of major retailers, authors and publishers. In addition to free eBooks, visitors to the site will also find extensive information on the latest eBook reading devices, the benefits of eBooks, the environmental impact of eBooks, the history and the future of eBooks, as well as links to popular eBook stores.
