This just came through my RSS feed, and I’m shocked that they posted it. I had thought that MediaBistro was a reputable company. Here is the post:

We told you months ago about an online 2666 reading group, which is still going strong and is on its eighth week of reading. There was only one problem–while you could discuss the book electronically, you couldn’t read it that way: there was no Bolano eBook–until now!

A tipster told us about this, a pirated electronic copy of 2666 as a TXT file. It ain’t the easiest thing in the world to read, but if you fiddle a bit with the file, you’ll find a way.

Download it quick, before someone official has it taken down (forgive us if that happens).
