Google announced that the Android Market now boasts about 38k apps, a 70 percent increase over the previous quarter. Speaking during the firm’s Q1 earnings call Thursday Jeff Huber, the Google VP of engineering, also said that 60k new Android devices are sold and activated every day, and that Android now runs on 34 devices from over a dozen different OEM partners.
If you add all the devices from independent developers, you could probably double that number.
