The KB, national library of the Netherlands, has announced that they’ve archived 15 million digital documents. The e-Depot was started seven years ago with the goal of securing scientific articles so that information will remain accessible after the original is lost. They also reported that the e-Depot is 15 terabytes in size. press release (Dutch)

Ciando adds 4 publishers to ebookstore

Ciando just announced that they have signed ebook distribution deals with the German publishers Droemer Knaur, Fischer, Kiepenheuer & Witsch, and Rowohlt. The 1300 fiction and nonfiction books will be offered in E-PUB format. Ciando is also planning to distribute these publisher’s backlists when they are available.
