The California Learning Resource Network (CLRN) has just released the draft report for Phase 2 California’s digital textbook initiative. This second phase of the initiative covered reviews of digital textbooks on history, economics, social studies, and other social sciences. Phase 1 was announced last spring, and its report was released in August. It covered the hard sciences: physics, chemistry, algebra, calculus, etc. You can find the phase 1 report here.
Do you know the best part about this program? It’s a review of free digital textbooks for high schools. I went to high school in California; one of my textbooks was older than me. I’m not complaining, just illustrating their budget problems.
