So I finally heard back from Foxit and Next Papyrus, It took the companies’ nearly a week to respond to my emails. This so pisses me off. Who puts out a press release and then doesn’t answer questions about it? I would think that the point of a press release is to get attention. Perhaps I’m wrong.
Back on topic. There were a couple points in the announcement that weren’t clear, which is why I sent emails. Now I have some information I can share.
Next Papyrus is going to port Foxit’s PDF reader software to the PageOne, and they made the smart move of not relying on Foxit to do it for them. If they had, the result would be as bad as the eSlick firmware. (Each new generation starts out horribly buggy, and then improves ever so slightly.)
The other important detail from the announcement is that Next Papyrus has developed Foxit’s next e-reader, and the new device might be announced next month. You heard it here first.

Where can I buy the PAGEone?
