El Pais is reporting that the Spanish language textbook publisher Santillana* has just started a pilot program to provide web based digital textbooks to students in Spain. The program currently covers 60k high school students in Catalonia.
What’s rather neat about the Santillana platform is that the content isn’t fixed. teachers have the ability to improve on the existing textbooks by adding their own.
*Santillana also operates in the USA and other countries.
