Copia E-readers Delayed until Fall

May 26th, 2010 by Nate Hoffelder · No Comments · hardware news

I briefly stopped by the Copia booth. Copia debuted their reading platform and e-readers at CES 2010. If you’re not familiar with Copia, then think of them as reading meets social media. They had some really impressive demos back at CES, and the demo taday was even better (it worked). They didn’t have any devices on display, sadly. For various reasons development has been delayed from the (overly optimistic) April to late Fall.

I do have some possibly good news. The Copia software is in a limited beta, so I suggested that Copia should include the MobileRead Book Club in the beta program. They thought it was a good idea. There’s no real plan as of yet, but if you want to participate, please go join MR and keep an eye on the Book Club.

P.S. I’m not promising that MR Book Club will participate in the beta. I just hope this will happen.
