Reuters is reporting that Indigo Books (corporate parent of Kobo) has annonced a drop in profits for the 4th quarter 2009, from C$1.9m in 4Q2008 to C$500,000 in 4Q2009. The difference is attributed to the expenses involved in the development and launch of the Kobo e-reader.
Indigo also reported an increase in income for the quarter ( C$34.9m, up from C$30.7m).
