Yesterday, I updated to iOS 4 on my iPhone (like everyone else), and downloaded iBooks. The iOS 4 is nice, pretty fast, and a welcome upgrade. But iBook was a disaster.

Google releases 500 scans of Ancient Greek and Latin texts for research
I’m pleased to announce that Google Books is now assisting this work by sharing high-resolution digital scans of over 500 volumes of Ancient Greek and Latin, dating from the sixteenth through nineteenth centuries. (Of course, downloadable versions of over a million volumes in all fields are available from books.google.com, in a more compressed form.)
TOKYOPOP offering digital downloads through Zinio
TOKYOPOP announced today that they’ve teamed with the website Zinio — “the world’s top digital publishing distribution service,” according to the press release — to make “more than fifty volumes of manga, available immediately for digital download to your PC and Mac by visiting www.Zinio.com/tokyopop.”
