Entourage are starting an App Store for the Edge (finally). Unfortunately, they haven’t announced any plans to open the App Store to other large screen Android tablets. Okay, so none exist yet, but they will at some point.
From the Entourage blog:
We are inviting enTourage eDge friends and owners to create some interesting Android apps that make use of the unique features of the device. Read more about the app store and how to submit an app here.
We have some fun applications you can download free on the enTourage eDGe store now. On your device, open the entourage eDGe store and select the Apps tab. You can easily download and install games, a calculator, and even a wireless printer app.
FYI: Not all Android apps work full screen on the Edge (because of the high screen resolution). Many were programmed badly, and will only work in a small window. (The problem is the app, not the Edge.)
I think it would be a good idea if they also started a listing service. There already are some Android apps that work just fine on the Edge. It would be really useful if an Edge owner could find them easily. The Aldiko app works full screen, for example.
