Telefonica Spain and the Federation of Publishers’ Guilds of Spain (FGEE) , today signed a collaboration agreement to promote the incorporation of the phenomenon of Spanish publishers digitizing and marketing of their works over the Internet and the various reading devices.The agreement signed by Guillermo Ansaldo , president of Telefonica Spain, Pedro de Andres Romero, President of  FGEE, will affect Spanish publishers show, especially SMEs, the potential of selling their content via the Internet offers. The agreement also sets out specific actions that aim to help them innovate and to “leap” to the online world.

In particular, the tools will drive standardization in the field defined for digital content (“ebooks”), organized workshops on the use of such tools and knowledge of online commerce, and conduct joint pilot projects, commercial, that publishers are likely to experience actual sales and distribution of their work in digital format over the Internet. In this part, Telefónica will help the dissemination and communication through their portals and services.
