Actually, Staples sells the Sony devices and has for quite some time. Saw them for sale there yesterday.

Really. The Sony’s have even appeared in Staples’ Sunday circulars in my area on occasion. Staples.com doesn’t seem to have the Readers but does have Reader accessories. Maybe they are replacing the Sonys with Kindles.

Hmmm… if it’s any consolation, I never saw them at a lower Manhattan Staples I frequent. But then they never carried the Dell Mini netbook there, either. Said it was at an uptown store. Perhaps the Sonys were too.
