But is it piracy?

Yesterday I posted a story about a new site called KindleQuest that let you play Zork and other Infocom games on your Kindle. It’s no fun for me on the Kindle keyboard, but I will say that I thought the idea was shiny. A short time later an observant reader pointed out that these games [...]

I just received the press release for a new ebook conference hosted by the San Francisco Writers University. I’m going to a conference next month in Philadelphia, XML 2010 eMedia Revolution. I was asked to give a talk on the state of the tablet market. Well, that’s how I think of it. Here’s the description in the program: Emerging eReader/Tablet Delivery Devices, an Update on What’s New and What’s Coming At this January’s [...]
Amazon to open Android app store?
September 27th, 2010 · 1 Comment · Amazon, app store news
That’s what TechCrunch are reporting, and I’m afraid they’re right. Earlier today, after several tips, we guessed that Amazon may be close to launching its own app store for Android — yes, another Android app store. Sources we reached out to weren’t sure about what exactly Amazon was launching, but many had been asked to [...]
Amazon to launch Kindle app for the new BlackBerry Playbook
September 27th, 2010 · No Comments · press release
That was quick. But I don’t see anything in the press release on when the app will be available, though. From the press release: Amazon.com (NASDAQ: AMZN) today announced that it will launch a Kindle app for the new BlackBerry PlayBook tablet computer. Customers can already enjoy the free Kindle app on their BlackBerry today. [...]
