It hasn’t even been released yet, and Libre.de already lowered the price. You can no get the Wifi equipped LumiRead for 179 Euros, and the 3G model for 229 Euros. It still cost too much, IMO. Libre.de via Buch Report

There was a story going around this past week about EC Media and their new Wink 5″ e-reader model. I passed on the story; I’d already reported about the 5″ e-reader back in July and there was no new detail. No one had pictures, so it wasn’t worth a post.

September 24th, 2010 · No Comments · opinion

Make way for the scammers
September 23rd, 2010 · No Comments · ebookstore news
This disturbs me to no end. A Smashwords author found their book mentioned on this site – http://best1ebooks.com/ – and wrote us to ask if we’re distributing to them. Definitely not. They appear to be scraping Smashwords book covers and book descriptions and then selling [who knows what, but definitely not our books] at marked [...]

I’m releasing my photos under a CC license

I’d been planning to do this for some time now but never got around to it. Everyone assumes that bloggers will use any image they find, be it through Google or from the story’s original source or whatever. I know I do. I also know that when other blogs repost myoriginal stories they use my [...]

Sybase ocnducted a poll of 2100 Americans. The topic of the survey was tablets (features, price, apps, abilities). The press release came out yesterday. Some of the results are really interesting.
