The best PC reading app just got better. B&N have just posted the second major firmware update for NookStudy, and some of the improvements include:

  1. Full Screen – Our most requested feature from users, the ability to use 100% of your screen real estate, putting all other distractions and non-functional features away until you need them, with a quick mouse over!
  2. Archive – Not using a book anymore? Now you can easily archive a book by simply dragging and dropping, or go into the Book Info page. Of course you can easily Un-archive a book just as easily.
  3. Course Icons – We pre-loaded icons that you can assign to your NOOKstudy courses to give your NOOKstudy a more customizable feel, and visual cues to access your courses faster and more efficiently.
  4. Library: Grid View – Tired of scrolling through the long list of books in your library? Now we’ve added a Grid View which gives you all the same functionality, but with a new look to help you visually find you book quicker.
  5. Unlimited Copy/Print Allowance on DRM-free Books & Side-Loaded Content – You’ll now enjoy unlimited Copy/Print Allowance for DRM-free books.
  6. Improved Scrolling – Users will see improved performance when using the mouse scroll wheel.
  7. Notes Window Pane – Can now be docked or floating, and automatically adjusts to floating if application is resized below favorable reading dimensions.
  8. Sync Notes from Imported Documents – We now are syncing your notes from user imported documents, so you can access them on a second computer.
  9. Improved Application Stability – Continued efforts to tighten up the nuts and bolts under the hood.

They don’t say anything yet about being able to use an Adobe account with a different e-mail address than your B&N account. I’m still waiting.
