Engadget noticed that the domain www.NookColor.com has already been registered by B&N. I’d say that pretty much clinches it. Next week’s announcement is almost certainly a color Nook. Then again, they picked up the domain back in March. It might have nothing to do with next week.

It’s at www.kinstant.com, and like you’d expect it has quite a few news, email, shopping, etc sites that you can visit from your Kindle. I don’t like it, actually. It has a lot of [...]

If you follow ebook news, you might have heard of a site called GoodEreader.com. At first glance it looks like a news site. It has a blog, podcast, and a monthly magazine, and they even opened an e-reader store last week. But all of that is all a facade that they are using to hide [...]

October 21st, 2010 · 8 Comments · hardware news

You might recognize the hardware as the Thalia Oyo; they’re retail partners (I’m not sure that’s the right word) and both are using an e-reader originally developed by Sagem Wireless. Fnac [...]

Kobo Disappoints

Kobo to small publishers: Go away! If you’re running a small publishing outfit and want to reach the Kobo/Borders community, forget it: if you publish fewer than 10 titles, they’ll turn away your business. Unlike Amazon and Barnes & Noble, who have made it a breeze for small publishers to sell titles in their online [...]

First look at the Entourage Pocket Edge (video)
October 21st, 2010 · 2 Comments · hardware reviews, video
Ereaders.nl just posted a Youtube video with the first hands on demo of the Pocket Edge. It’s in Dutch, of course. Yes, they did beat me to it. But TBH, I didn’t try to get a video. The hardware is interesting, but it has all the same abilities as the larger version.
