More detail emerged today on Toshiba’s solar powered e-reader. The Biblioleaf is expected to ship in Japan on 25 December. It’s available on a 2 year contract (for the 3G connection) for ¥525 up front and ¥1,575 a month.
This e-reader is based on an E-ink screen and it has Wifi, a Wacom touchscreen, 2GB Flash, and of course that little solar panel. It will be tied to the KDDI ebookstore.
