New Rockchip CPUs demonstrated and explained (video)

December 28th, 2010 by Nate Hoffelder · No Comments · hardware news

Charbax of ARMDevices.net spent a few minutes with Rockchip the other day and they showed him the full abilities of the RH2818 and RK29 CPUS.

You’d have to be pretty geeky to know who this company is, and they’re one that the gadget blogs really need to keep an eye on. They might not have the publicity, but in terms of quality and sophistication they’re on the same level as Nvidia, Marvell, Samsung, and the other big names.

I know of some e-readers that use a RockChip CPU. The Skytex Primer does and so do all of Gajah’s e-readers. The Elonex 700EB has impressive video abilities for the price and that wouldn’t be possible without the cheap CPU.
