I’ve just come across another tablet that will be released in Russia in the next few weeks. The MIReader M8 has an 8″ screen (well, duh) and it runs Android v2.1.
The touch screen is capacitive with a resolution of 800×600. It has a 2MP camera, microphone, 4GB Flash storage, Wifi, Bluetooth, a microSD card slot, and support for an external 3G modem.
Ebook support includes Epub, PDF, FB2, TXT, CHM, HTML, and DOC. Video and audio support includes MKV (H.264 HP), AVI, RM / RMVB, FLV, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MP3, WMA, APE, FLAC, AAC, OGG, AC3, and WAV. It doesn’t have access to the Android market, however.
It’s selling now for 9990 rubles (~$341 USD), and if you want a cover it will cost you an extra 800 rubles.
