The B&N press conference is due to start in about 5 minutes, and I happened across a covered display. Underneath the drape was display units for the new ereader. The above image is a dummy in a case for the new ereader. I’d guess that it is based on a 6″ E-ink screen, and the lack of buttons suggests that this must be a touch only unit.
That’s all I know so far.
Update: VP of Sales from Neonode is here, which means this will have the same touch screen tech as the Kobo Touch and new Sony Readers.

OMG. That is FUGLY.
Aren’t you suppose to be live blogging this event with your BOSS?
Dianna is here too, so she should have it covered.
And BTW, they knew when they hired me as a contractor that I was also a competitor. It’s not a problem.
Also, it’s none of your damn business what I’m doing.
Exactly why I wasn’t expecting a response, but got two instead.
+1
Mike, you realize that’s a plastic insert right?
It still gives you an idea what it looks like.
Hello, in actual photos it’s STILL fugly.
Sure does. Thanks for the pic.
Who is tweeting the live event? I noticed there are different comments being made
