How to score an iPad 2 case at 80% off

May 29th, 2011 by Nate Hoffelder · No Comments · accessories - e-reader

Some time back I bought several iPad cases from ATT (they were on clearance). I’m about ready to give them away and I realized something that you might be interested in. Two of the cases should work just fine with the iPad 2.

The iPad 2 is slightly smaller than the original, which means that most cases won’t work on both devices. But sleeve style cases should work, and guess what? Most of the cases for the original iPad are on clearance, and this means you can pick up a $40 case for $5 to $10. I found a bunch of cheap cases on Amazon. Curiously enough, the cases I have cost more than the last time i checked.

I’m pretty sure the sleeves will work because unlike folio style cases, a sleeve doesn’t have to perfectly fit the device inside. It just has to be close, and the iPad2 is a fraction of an inch smaller in each dimension than the original. It should be close enough not to matter.
