My good friend Charbax got the first look at Pixel Qi’s new 10″ screen yesterday. The new screen incredibly thin with a resolution of 1280×800 (decent but not incredibly high). The screen shown above is the older screen.
The new 10″ screen is due to go into production in Q4 2011, and the new 7″ (1024×600) screen is going to be produced starting in Q3 2011. Can you believe Pixel Qi has already shipped 3 million screens?
Video is after the break.

“Can you believe Pixel Qi has already shipped 3 million screens?”
And where’s the proof of that? I’ve never seen any device with that type of screen (or must be the Adam at the start of this year, but I don’t believe they sold 3 million devices…)
Still waiting for a device with this screen which I can buy at a European store…
OLPC has shipped upwards 3 million XO-1 and XO-1.5 Laptops, those basically have a first gen Pixel Qi screen in them. All the children in Uruguay have one, half of all the children in Peru have one, millions of children in 50 other developing countries have one.
Nate is not reading my blog again…

I read it. I’m just choosing not to be snide about it.
