June 24th, 2011 by Nate Hoffelder · 2 Comments · Daily deals

So today I have a couple of tablets for you as well an out of left field app.

The app in question is a PDF to Flash converter. You can use it to turn a PDF book or magazine into a Flash file. I don’t know why you’d want to but you certainly can.

In case you were wondering, the resulting Flash file will be readable on most browsers.  Oh, and you’ll need to install the app today or it will be disabled.

Giveaway a Day

You can find a refurbished Archos 7 Home tablet on Woot.com today for $80. That’s about a third off the price of a new one on Amazon. This is last year’s model, and it’s based on a standard 7″ resistive touchscreen with 8GB Flash storage, Wifi, and a microSD card slot. It’s running Android v1.6.

I’d read the reviews on Amazon before I bought it.

1SaleaDay have more of the craptastic Augen 78 tablet for $70. This one is so bad that it won the title for worst tablet of 2010. like the Archos 7, it’s also using a 7″ screen, but a lot of people were unhappy with the touchscreen on the Augen and (most other parts of the tablet, too).

I think I should warn you that this tablet has been connected to organized crime, wrote the screen play to Gigli, and it’s responsible for global warming. I’ve also heard an unsubstantiated rumor that this tablet has been collaborating With the lizard aliens who secretly infiltrated Earth years ago.
