A couple of deals have come across my desk this morning, and I’ll probably see more later.
First up is a $70 generic Android tablet on 1SaleaDay. I can’t find the model name, but I know the manufacturer. Eken is a well known name. Update: the model name was on the image. This is the Eken M009.
This tablet is running Android v2.2 on an 800MHz VIA CPU, with a 7″ screen, 2GB Flash storage, microSD card slot, Wifi, speakers, microphone, and a VGA webcam. It also has a dongle with an ethernet port, and that dongle worries me. I don’t trust tablets that have dongles. But it is also supposed to come with goodies like Android Market and Flash 10.1, os it might be worth the risk.

The other deal this morning is for a refurbished 10″ Android netbook for $80. Augen, a company which died recently, released this netbook late last year. I have one and it has pretty decent specs and performance for the price. This is a nice little sub$100 netbook. If you’ve ever wanted to experiment with an Android netbook, this would be a small risk.
BTW, there’s every indication that Augen are dead, so there is no warranty. Also, I don’t like the site that is selling the netbook. I’ve bought from them in the past and I don’t like their business practices. You can also find this same netbook for only $15 more over at Newegg. I’d get it there.

Newegg’s price is $95, not $15.
Whoops. There was supposed to be a “more” in there somewhere.
