Polymer Vision are back after a 3 month silence, and they have something new for us.

The last video they posted showed their new extremely flexible screen and how it could be rolled around a dime. Today’s video is an impact test with E-ink’s non-flexible screen on one side and PV’s screen on the other.  Guess which one broke?

The video is really cool, but it doesn’t really show anything new.  Impact damage and the general need for improved durability was half the reason to develop a flexible screen,  and that’s what PV have been working on these past 3 years.

When we last spoke, my contact with PV didn’t have any new details that he could share.  So I don’t know when we will see this on an actual device. But I, for one, am ever hopeful.
