Fictionwise are having another sale this weekend and it’s a good one. The sale runs through Sunday night and it’s good for almost everything they still have in stock.

I would be taking advantage of this but I’ve long since cleared out my remaining store credit at Fictionwise, and I’m not sure how long they will remain open before Barnes & Noble finally kill them off. I don’t want to have too much tied up with Fictionwise when the end comes.

It’s happened again.
I want to read old mysteries. I’m not interested in anything published after, say, 1960. When I bring up the Crime and Mystery Section at Fictionwise there are 1647 items, far too many to browse. So I choose ‘Original Publication Date’ as the sort order, and I get 1647 items listed by descending order of original publication. Then I choose ‘Reverse sort’ and press the Go button — and I get a blank screen and a message that says “Displaying 1 – 0 of 1647 items in this category”.
If Fictionwise wants my custom they are going to have to make their books more accessible.
I really don’t think they care. From the 1st day I used them their cust serv was not so hot.
They keep cutting back on products like the buyers club.
I think Nate is probably correct, Fictionwise will probably be gone at some point.
