Pocketbook Germany sold 10k e-readers during the Christmas season

Following on the heels of the Fnac report on Saturday, Johannes of lesen.net reported that Pocketbook sold nearly 10, 000 e-readers in Germany during the past 2 months of 2010. Yikes. That’s not much, considering that Pocketbook have said they have a strong position in Europe.

Medionsat down yesterday with Johannes of lesen.net so they could share their newest e-reader. The P6101 is a Netronix design based on a 6″ E-ink screen (Vizplex, not Pearl) with Wifi and touchscreen. It comes with 2GB Flash and a microSD card slot. Ebook support includes ADE and the usual broad selection of formats.
