You’re not going to believe the crap Borders are trying to pull with gift cards

The parent company of the  Australian Borders chain (no relation to the US chain) went into administration (the Australian equivalent of bankruptcy) yesterday. Redgroup Retail then decided to go for double or nothing by pissing off the few customers they have left. They’ve changed their policy on gift cards, and the change is probably illegal. [...]

Maybe Amazon Just Doesn’t Want Us to Gift Kindle Books

Is anyone still waiting on the free Borders gift card?

Do you remember the Sony Reader pricing snafu a couple weeks back?(Borders had intended to price the PRS-600 at $199, and they actually priced it at $100.) All the sales were cancelled (of course), and Borders promised a $25 concilation gift card. I don’t have mine yet. Is anyone else still waiting?
