Sigmatek to launch 5″, 7″ e-readers at IFA-Berlin

I’ve just heard about a pair of new e-readers  from the French electronics company, SigmaTek Computers. Details are still sparse, but I do know that the e-readers will have LCD screens with 800×480 resolution, a 600MHz CPU,as well as decent video and audio support. Sharp to demo their XMDF format e-reader at IFA-Berlin

The Inquirer are reporting: With 5.5-inch and 10.8-inch versions the reader can also play audio and video as well as show words and pictures. The multimedia reader is referred to as an Next Generation XMDF device because it is an advance on the 2001 original XMDF that was sold for Japanese novels and manga comics. [...]

Pocketbook likely won’t be announcing their Mirasol e-reader at IFA-Berlin

Pocketbook have uploaded the first press photos for the new e-readers they will announce at IFA-Berlin and the Mirasol device isn’t there. The picture at right is the PB 903.
