Medionsat down yesterday with Johannes of lesen.net so they could share their newest e-reader. The P6101 is a Netronix design based on a 6″ E-ink screen (Vizplex, not Pearl) with Wifi and touchscreen. It comes with 2GB Flash and a microSD card slot. Ebook support includes ADE and the usual broad selection of formats.

Medion e-reader video

A couple weeks ago I found a new e-reader from Medion. I hadn’t seen it before, which makes it something of a rarity. Today I found this video that was shot at IFA-Berlin where the new e-reader was on display. It’s in German and the e-reader is only a dummy, but it’s still worth watching.

Medion, a German consumer electronics company, have just dropped a hint that they plan to release an e-reader. Details are still vague at this point, but according to my source this e-reader is supposed to have a 6″ E-ink screen. I don’t know. That looks like a LCD screen to me.
